Ulysses

    Description

    The Ulysses main mission was to study the Sun. It was launch on Space Shuttle Discovery on October 6, 1990. It needed to use Jupiter in a gravity assist to get into an orbit that was about 80 degrees inclination to the ecliptic. It passed through a few comet tails.
